HAPPY 12TH ANNIVERSARY

Wow!! It is amazing to me that it has been 12 years since Kent and I were married. It is so fun to look back at pictures and see the difference from then to now. Out of those 12 great years we have been blessed with 4 amazing children and a ton of other wonderful memories. I am grateful to Kent for being the husband, friend and father that he is. It is true when they say that you blink and your kids are grown up but I think it is also true that you can blink and you will have been married 10, 15-20 years before you know it. Cherish the moments and enjoy eachother because we never know what tomorrow brings. I love you Kent and look forward to many more great years and memories.

What do you remember about me?

Tag you're it!!!

1. Comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Happy 11th Birthday Kassidy

I can't believe Kassidy is 11 years old and heading off to 6th grade. It truly seems like yesterday when I sent her off to Kindergarten. She has grown into a such a fun, cute young lady. She is full of fun and energy and is such a great help to me. We love having her in our family. Happy birthday sweetie!!

She had a few of her good friends over to spend the night and go swimming. They thought it would be fun to swim in their clothes and then it turned to sports bras.

Haley could not wait to open presents as she was so proud of her gift. I think she was more excited than Kassidy. She fell over in excitement when she saw it. It was pretty funny.

Camping in the Uintas over the 4th of July

We decided to go to the Unitas this year for the 4th of July and get away from the heat and chaos. My parents, my brother Ryan, The Morrison family(my sister) and The Strain family. We had an eventful trip. It was well worth it and lots of fun. Here are a few highlights. We took the kids fishing the first day and Kyle got a fish hook lodged in his cheek. Unfortunately I don't have any pics but Dr. Kent was able to bend the barbs and pull it back through. He was a brave little one. Emmeline my niece was going for a walk and was bit by a dog in a neighboring campground, Grant my nephew was in a creek with a cut on his toe and a leech attached itself to him causing a bit of crying from him. Brynlee saved the day and pulled it off. Erica tried her hand on a boys dirt bike and crashed and burned and for our little drama queen it was quite traumatic. Last but not least was the short 8 mile hike that Kent and the guys took 8 children on. Now, mind you that this hike is not trailed out so they find their own way up the mountain to beautiful fish lake. The kids were troopers and made it all the way up with no problems. Aimee and I stayed back at camp with the 3 little ones(someone had to watch them!!) and waited for their return. We figured they would return by at least 8pm so Aimee and I decided to try and make the dutch oven dinners. I have never lit briquettes before so this would be an adventure. After several dousings of lighter fluid and many matches I did it and we made our first ever dinners. We were pretty proud and just hoped now that the rest of the fam would return soon. The 3 little ones found the only mud pond out in the meadow and were covered in mud while we cooked. By 9:30pm we were a bit nervous and decided that if they weren't back by 11pm we would get in our cars and go find a ranger and report the problem. So..we sat and sat and sat in the pitch dark with my fire that I built(another first) when at 10:40 pm they pulled up. Aimee and I quickly starting saying, "where have you been, why are you so late, what happened?" to which my bro Ryan replied, "aren't you glad we are back in one piece?" Needless to say they just left late and they had to come down the mountain in the dark. At least Kent was smart enough to bring a couple flashlights. All in all we had a great time and the kids are ready to go again. Anything goes while camping!

Brynlee's Birthday

Well you can just give me the mother of the year award. I totally forgot that I had another child with a belated birthday. Our little Brynlee just turned 7 and how could we ever forget her. She is so full of energy and loves to play, play, play. She can wear you out. She had a fun birthday at North shore with all her little friends. Happy belated birthday Boo!!

Preston and Erica's birthdays

Since I am just getting the hang of this blog stuff I just have to post my little man's 3rd birthday and Erica's 9th birthday. I can't believe Preston is already 3. He is such a fun boy and life wouldn't be the same without him. Wow! 9 year old Erica! SHe is such a little princess. Happy belated birthday to both of you!!

Hawaiian and Dominican Republic Getaway

In April, Kent and I got to go to Hawaii for a week courtesy of lia sophia and we had so much fun. We have both been there but never together. We had a room with a balcony that faced the ocean. It was beautiful. There were 3 other couples that we hung out with and it was such a good time.

We went to Hanuama Bay to snorkel for a day which was fun. The guys saw Sea turtles.

We went to the Polynesian Cultural center and Kent got roped in to dancing and playing the drums with a little help from me!!

We spent a day on the north shore which was awesome and my favorite. We stopped by the hawaiian temple. Very pretty!

We took a dolphin/sea turtle snorkel adventure and got to snorkel with both. They pulled an octopus from the water and I had to hold it. This was one of my better moments as a few moments earlier I was chumming the fish in the water as I wasa bit seasick!!

After we returned from Hawaii we left for the Dominican Republic for a week for the grand opening of the Maxim Bungalows which Kent had won. It was way fun also. While there we saw Dylan McDermott and I HAD to get my pic with him. I have always liked him and YES ladies he is very handsome. Kent took the picture while shaking his head at me.

Fair is fair. I had my pic with Dylan and Kent had to get one with the Maxim models.
